The Story Behind the Pak
I’m a mom, real estate agent, masters swim coach, athlete, and wife—but nothing could have prepared me for the moment my son, Parker, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) Type B, just one day after I gave birth to my daughter. Overnight, our world changed from celebrating new life to navigating hospitals, treatments, and an entirely new reality. Parker was only 1½ years old, yet he faced it all with such bravery and joy. When his treatment required a 24/7 infusion pump that came in a flimsy fanny pack with dangling tubes, I couldn’t stand seeing him struggle. That moment sparked something in me—a determination to create a better, safer, and more empowering solution for kids like him.
That’s how Parker’s Pak was born—a kid-friendly, ergonomic backpack made to help children keep being kids while undergoing treatment. It’s more than just a medical bag; it’s a symbol of hope and independence. With thoughtful features like secure compartments, a viewing window for the pump, and easy charging access, it lets kids move, play, and rest comfortably—without feeling limited by their treatment. I created Parker’s Pak not only for my son, but for every family walking a similar path. It’s our way of saying that even in the hardest moments, there’s always room for comfort, courage, and joy.
